Caroline is recuperating in hospital and Katherine is secretly moving around the town putting her plan into motion while the rest of the gang are trying harder than ever to keep the existence of the supernatural a secret from the residents of Mystic Falls. Unbeknownst to them, the Original vampires are on the move searching for the latest in the line of Petrova doppelgangers while the Winchesters have also arrived in Mystic Falls hoping to right the wrong that began with the failed exorcism in Beacon Hills. Now a demon possessing the body of Allison Argent is making deals in exchange for souls for a reason that currently remains unknown and the Beacon Hills gang face a race against time to save someone they love before she is lost to them once more, this time forever.
